MEDICAL AID NEEDED

There are so many health problems in the slum. Diseases that have virtually died out in the West, such as typhoid, cholera and diphtheria are prevalent. Mumps, measles and malaria are killers for malnourished children. However, there are many less serious problems that the children live with on a daily basis. We wouldn't expect our children to put us with these health issues, but the slum children are uncomplaining.

Ringworm, eye problems (cataracts, allergies etc) , parasites and untreated injuries are all part of daily life. During the rainy season, it seems that every child has a chest problem and a fever. Many of the children have to sleep on the dirt floor of their tin huts, frequently without bedding and still wearing their day clothes...often these are their only clothes. The cold and dampness causes chest infections and we really need simple medications such as pain killers and cough syrups.

Dirt, paraffin fumes and dust mites in the shacks cause eye infections and allergies. Children are enduring constantly itchy and irritated eyes when simple and cheap treatments can eleviate these problems.

Help us to buy these cheap medications. DONATE HERE

THESE TWO LITTLE GIRLS BOTH HAVE EYE PROBLEMS WHICH COULD BE SOLVED BY A SIMPLE £40 OPERATION.
